A garage that runs itself from a phone.
CTR UK LTD is a family-run MOT centre and garage in Metheringham, near Lincoln. We built them a new website with live DVSA MOT lookups and reminders, and a mobile-first back office that handles bookings, customer messages and RAC claims without anyone sitting at a front desk.
Busy hands, no front desk.
CTR's team are out in the workshop or on the road for HGV breakdowns, so nobody is free to answer the phone, chase MOT renewals or fill in paperwork all day.
They needed customers to be able to help themselves online, and a system the team could run from their phones between jobs: messages, bookings, reminders and partner claims, all in one place.
Plugged straight into the DVSA.
Customers enter their registration and the site checks their vehicle against DVSA MOT records. They can then sign up for reminders by email, text or both, and book an MOT slot without picking up the phone.
Front of house, in your pocket.
We built a back office system designed for the phone first. Mobile was crucial to CTR: the team can see the day's bookings, reply to customers and move jobs along from the workshop floor or the roadside.
- Every SMS, WhatsApp message and email lands in one shared inbox.
- Bookings from the website appear straight away, ready to confirm.
- MOT reminders go out automatically, on the channel each customer chose.
- Works just as well on a phone as on the office PC.
RAC claims without the paperwork.
CTR is an RAC Approved Garage. We built workflows around how they work with partners, so a claim moves from job to submission in a few taps.
- 1 Job comes in A partner job is logged against the customer and vehicle.
- 2 Capture on the phone Photos, notes and parts are added from the workshop floor.
- 3 Claim submitted The claim is put together in the partner's format and sent off.
- 4 Customer kept posted Updates go out by SMS, WhatsApp or email as the job moves on.
